This is a great opportunity to serve your ACC Chapter and to become involved with our organization. Hospital Contacts Date Posted: We would like a committee of members to serve as contacts with administration of each hospital in Arkansas which has a cardiologist on staff. This will help expedite enrollment of hospitals in quality assurance projects. For example, we were unable to effectively contact hospitals around the state regarding the major D2B (Door to Balloon) project sponsored by the ACC and other organizations. Legislative Contacts Date Posted: We would like to identify members who have a personal relationship with specific state or federal legislators. The relationship might be through donation to a campaign, friendship, general support, or a doctor-patient situation. Then, when issues important to the health of Arkansans are considered in the congress or legislature, we can call on these ACC members to talk with key decision-makers. Clinic Contacts Date Posted: We would like to identify an ACC member in each cardiology and in each cardiac surgery practice in the state to serve as liaison between the Chapter and the group and its administrator.
